HARD ROCK CAFE , KOLKATA.

The weather was warm , enthusiasm was high and fear was not covered. It was a long waited outing , after a tiring , monotonous and prolonged pandemic. Hard Rock Cafe , one of the original rock and roll restaurants, came to our minds immediately. It is a huge cafe, with a vibrant bar, and a spot for live performance . What makes this place unique and different from most others cafes is its live music. Along with meticulously prepared delicious delicacies, on Thursdays there is live western music performance, on Fridays hindi and on Saturdays  remix bollywood songs. Interestingly , in contrary to the popular belief of music pubs being smoky and stuffy , Hard Rock Cafe had a glass box for the smokers. They also own a shop, dedicated to merchandise, accessories, apparels, collectibles etc. , named "Hard Rock Store". 

There was a wide variety of food, mainly continental. The non veg platter was meticulously prepared and served. It had a value for money and was sufficient for four. The smoked salmon too was extremely delicious and appetizing. Tortilla chips , served with a creamy blend of romano and cheddar cheese and chopped spinach and house made pico de gallo  itself sounds  luscious enough , doesn't it? The three-cheese and Roma tomato flatbread - Mozarella and mixed cheddar cheese , Roma tomatoes and fresh Brasil , drizzled with cilantro pesto - deserves a special mention, being one of the most moreish dishes that has ever been tried. There was a wide range of deserts , mocktails, cocktails with varieties of non-alcoholic beverages as well. The bar counter was large and busy , the entire time, bartenders having having not a moment to spare. Although alcohol was flowing throughout the cafe , the ambience was very decent.  A glass of non alcoholic Mango Tango (Red bull, mango puree and orange juice) surely quenched the thirst . Although, the hot fudge brownie was so large that even four people could not complete it, was absolutely toothsome. Last but not the least, the cookies and cream milkshake was heavenly , being made of creamy vanilla ice cream, white chocolates, Oreo cookies, finished with white chocolate whipped cream and sugar dusted home made brownie squares. Most importantly, all the dishes were prepared with authentic ingredients and pure herbs.

On that very evening, Mr. Kaushik Roy Chowdhury put up a passionate and sprightly performance for us. He sang all kinds of songs , from old hindi songs to even the latest hits, giving an enthralling night. The audience sang and clapped along. Few even came up to the front and danced tirelessly . The audience was so zestful , it seemed like they have never been so alive before. 

That night gave the perfect experience of how an ideal night life is . Hard Rock Cafe  is a place full of vim and vigor. We left happily ,with both , our stomach and hearts filled to the brim .
