BIANCO, BALLYGUNGE, KOLKATA

Bianco is one of the best places to meet up with close ones. It is located on Ekdalia Road, beside Ekdalia Evergreen club, the famous club known for Durga Puja. Live performances also take place at Bianco during the flee market season.
The ambient is calm, quiet and tranquil. It is a two-storied building. The ground floor is decorated in white. The most mentionable part of Bianco is the wall of fame. It contains framed photographs of numerous famous artists starting from Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe to Lady Gaga. A couple of flight of stairs led to the next floor. The wallpapers contain abstract paintings of various food items. The other wallpaper depicts old Kolkata streets with Bianco standing in its glory. This floor is decorated more in black than white. Even the lamp shades were decorative cups and saucers. The decoration truly deserves extra credit. 

Even though the creative variation of the menu is not very high nor are there dishes which are Bianco's special, every food item is extremely delicious. Pollo Verde is a pizza with grilled BBQ chicken, cilantro and onion. It is not too cheesy but the exact cheesy one would want their pizza to be. Among the pastas, Pasta Alfredo stands out as the best white sauce penne pasta. It is very creamy, with the perfect amount of herbs and spices. If one wants to go for red sauce pasta, Pasta Arrabiata is definitely the most exotic choice. It tastes best in spaghetti and chicken. Bianco provides a choice of vegetarian, chicken or seafood as well as penne or spaghetti for almost every pasta. 
For the drinks, one must have the Cactus. It has a unique taste. It has a peppery, chilly and hot flavour with intermittent sweetness. One must avoid the peach iced tea at all costs even though it might be staff-recommended to them. It might taste better if it were a bit more sweet or even with the taste of peach in it. 

The staff is caring and served every item without having to ask everytime. Although, it is recommended to have a few more staff members added. The more, the better. 

The over-all experience at Bianco is not disappointing. It is still one of the best places for a get-together or for having fun.

On the way to Gariahat shopping, one might come across the oldest and most famous  chanachur shop of Kolkata in Kalighat, which has been reigning for over ninety-five years now. Ujjala Chanachur stands in its glory on Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Road, Kalighat. Ramchandra Prasad is the current proprietor of the shop. Aged Arjun Prasad and his partner can be found sitting inside, occupying opposite sides of the shop. Their day begins at 7 o' clock in  the morning and goes on till 7 P.M. HARD ROCK CAFE , KOLKATA.

T he weather was warm , enthusiasm was high and fear was not covered. It was a long waited outing , after a tiring , monotonous and prolonged pandemic. Hard Rock Cafe , one of the original rock and roll restaurants, came to our minds immediately. It is a huge cafe, with a vibrant bar, and a spot for live performance  . What makes this place unique and different from most others cafes is its live music. Along with meticulously prepared delicious delicacies, on Thursdays there is live western music performance, on Fridays hindi and on Saturdays  remix bollywood songs. Interestingly , in contrary to the popular belief of music pubs being smoky and stuffy , Hard Rock Cafe had a glass box for the smokers. Every new year comes bearing gifts, lessons, values, and of-course resolutions. One might even want to add trying out more kinds of food items from around the world. The best place to try out food of Bangladesh origin is Himur Heshel , Patuli, Kolkata. Chilly, wolly afternoons are best accompanied by the exquisite spices of Bangladesh and classic Bangal foods.   Himur Heshel is a cozy, hospitable, small diner. The staff members are very kind and approachable. The owner of the place was very genial too. The place gave off classic  Bangal  vibes, with old as well as modern bengali songs playing on speakers.
