FIRANGI DHABA, SALT LAKE, KOLKATA
On a warm July afternoon, one might find themselves at the hospitable service of Firangi Dhaba. It is situated in Bidhannagar, Sector Five, Salt Lake.
The ambience is very enthusiastic, energetic. Punjabi songs are played on speakers, the entire time. The television had Sanjeev Kapoor and other chef's famous recipes on. It is a lot less busier on weekends compared to weekdays.
The menu had a wide range of flavors, from all over India as well as Asia. Dragon Rolls Firangi Style are the best way to start the meal. The cream and cheese just melt right in the exact taste buds.
For non-vegetarian lovers, the non-veg Firangi Platter is the best choice. The platter consists of 6 pairs of chicken, mutton and fish preparations, namely, two kinds of chicken kababs, two kinds of mutton kababs, a fish preparation and a galouti. It is served with a vivid range of sauces and salad.
The main course should begin with Nasi Goreng. It is an Indonesian rice preparation, served along with a pouched egg, two chicken breasts and few rice crackers. It is creamy and a little soupy. This alone can make an individual full.
Another Asian main course is the Singapore rice noodles, which paired with corn potato in black bean sauce, gives the best taste. Spices mixed up properly with the perfect amounts of sweet and chili. That is the best part of Asian food. Their spices are so intricately added, it's never less as it's never too much.
For the non-veg side dish, one can opt for chicken tikka butter masala. It is a Firangi Dhaba special dish. It is made in the recipe of chicken tikka masala as well as that of chicken butter masala. Both of these are delicacies of India. When these are combined, it gives a heavenly taste. It has a smokey, roasted smell and buttery, creamy, gravy-filled taste- all at the same time. Firangi Dhaba's serving quantity deserves quite the praise.
Firangi Dhaba is a one stop place for authentic Indian spices accompanied by other cuisines.
